Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) – 622 from December 6 – 13, 2022 by 2 Mah Arty Bty NCC, Nagpur

Nagpur, December 13. 2 Maharashtra Arty Bty NCC of NCC Group Headquarters Nagpur has successfully completed CATC-622 for a duration of 08 days from December 6 to 13, 2022 at Heti Surla, Saoner. Total 286 NCC cadets participated in the camp and Colonel CPS Soemwal, Officer commanding 2 Mah Arty Bty NCC, Nagpur was the Camp Commandant.

Camp Commandant during opening address explained the cadets the aim of CATC which was to carry out collective training of NCC Cadets in order to develop a sense of responsibility, self  reliance , self-help and  team-spirit. Besides above, camp laid emphasis on developing qualities of leadership, character, discipline, and community living.

On December 9, 2022, Gp Capt BK Chauchan, Group Commander, NCC Gp HQ Nagpur  also inspected training conducted during the camp and appreciated the spirit of NCC Cadets. On 10 Dec 2022, President of Zila Parishad Mrs. Mukta Kokkade also visited the Camp. She appreciated the motivation level of all NCC cadets. Camp Commandant apprised her about the issue of cadets. NDRF team also visited CATC for conduct of lecture & demonstration on disaster management.

To inculcate the team spirit, numbers of competitions were conducted during the camp which included Firing, Drill, Tug of War, GK Quiz & cultural program.  On December 12, 2022, a colorful cultural program was presented by NCC Cadets and all meritorious cadets were given prizes for their performance in competition on December 12, 2022.

On December 13, 2022, on completion of CATC-622 all Cadets bid farewell to each other with mixed-of emotions.
