AFTC–IISC ink MoU Eyeing better research in defence technology

Bangalore March 23. The Bengaluru based Air Force Technical College and Indian Institute of Science have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance scientific understanding of defence adopted technologies and undertake research and development activities in mutually beneficial areas. The Technical college functions under the Indian Air Force. The MoU will promote academic cooperation and research in defence related areas.

Air Commodore Ratnesh Gupta from the Technical College and Captain Sridhar Warrier from the Scientific institute signed the MoU in Bengaluru on March 23. The agreement will also facilitate Trainee Officers of the college to access libraries in IISc.

The areas of collaboration will be Aerospace Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Radar and Microwave, Guided Weapon, Drone Technologies, computer science and cyber security, mechanical engineering, electronics and communication engineering and Electoral Engineering.
