Berne, October 18, 2017. For RUAG, vocational training is an investment in the future, as the company’s success depends on having skilled and motivated employees. On Saturday, 28 October 2017, anyone interested in vocational training is welcome to visit eight of RUAG’s sites – in Alpnach, Berne, Emmen, Interlaken, Stans, Thun, Zurich and Zweisimmen – as part of the RUAG Talents Day. The Talents Day will also be held in Lodrino on October 21, 2017 and in Bure on November 3, 2017.
Investing in tomorrow’s talent is a top priority at international technology group RUAG. In Switzerland, RUAG is currently training around 350 apprentices in 15 professions. This corresponds to roughly 9% of RUAG’s workforce in the country. Most trainers at RUAG work full-time and are fully focused on this critical role.
Every year, RUAG offers hundreds of young apprentices a comprehensive, top-quality vocational education and training programme in an exciting technological environment. The quality of RUAG’s education is supported by the performance of the RUAG Swiss Selection Team as well as the multiple medals that RUAG apprentices have won at the SwissSkills and WorldSkills competitions.
RUAG offers a comprehensive vocational education and training programme. 90% of our full-time trainers are also examination experts, so they can ensure that apprentices have the specific knowledge and skills needed for the examinations.
