kochi, Tuesday, 29 Nov 2016: 7th edition of Military Photo was inaugurated at 12:00 pm on 29th Nov 16 at Ruby Jubilee hall of Press Club Ernakulam, by Rear Admiral M A Hampiholi, NM, Flag Officer Sea Training, Southern Naval Command while Ms Soumini Jain, the worshipful mayor of Kochi was the chief guest.
The exhibition contains approximately 70 photographs associated with military events across the country. The exhibition is conducted under the aegis of Press Club Ernakulam and Southern Naval Command every year as a part of Navy Week activities. It was part of the Navy Fest held inside the naval base, Kochi till last year. This year however the exhibition is being held at Press Club Ernakulam due to the cancellation of Navy Fest. The exhibition is an opportunity for the photojournalists of various media houses across the country to show their skill in Defence Photograph.
The exhibition would continue at Press Club till 01 Dec 16 and is open to public every day between 10:00 am – 06:00 pm. Thereafter the photos will be shifted to Centre Square Mall, MG Road, Ernakulam for further public viewing between from 02-04 Dec 16. The awards for the Best three photographs of the exhibition would be given on 03 Dec at 04:00 pm by Vice Admiral AR Karve, AVSM, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Naval Command at Centre Square Mall.
