Bengaluru, December 3, 2016: The ASSOCHAM has bestowed the Corporate Governance Excellence Award 2015-16 to Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) under unlisted public sector companies with a turnover of over Rs 500 crore category. The Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs, Mr. Arjun Ram Meghwal presented the award to Mr. T. Suvarna Raju, CMD HAL at a function organized by ASSOCHAM in New Delhi on December 2, 2016.
“This is a great honour and I share this award with our board, management leadership and employees who have set high standards of governance. We will continue to maintain and enhance the highest standards of Corporate Governance, we have set for the organization”, said Mr. Raju. He thanked ASSOCHAM and the eminent jury for this recognition.
Only a day before HAL CMD was conferred with the Technology Leadership Award by the Institute of Engineers (India) at a function held in Bengaluru on December 1, 2016.
