427 Agniveers Passing Out Parade from Parachute Regiment Training Centre

Bengaluru. On April 17, the third batch of Agniveers undergoing training at The Parachute Regiment Training Centre marched into the folds of India’s elite Parachute Regiment with great pride and elan. The impressive parade consisting of 427 Agniveers marked the successful culmination of an intense 24 week recruit training period.

The parade was reviewed by Major General Ravi Murugan, PVSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding, Karnataka & Kerala Sub Area. The General Officer Commanding addressed the Agniveers and implored them to imbibe the ethos of “Imandari, Wafadari, Bahaduri”. He also complimented the parade on their immaculate bearing, turnout and drill. He congratulated their proud parents and thanked them for their contribution to the nation.

The parade was commanded by Agniveer Ritesh Kumar Rai from Madhya Pradesh. Among the award winners, Agniveer Aurange Rohit Pandurang won the Gill Medal for Overall Best Recruit.
