India Strategic held the second edition of its annual National Seminar on Aerospace Technologies (N-SAT.2) October 15-16. The Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal P V Naik, kindly inaugurated the event, chaired by former Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal S P Tyagi. Air Chief Marshal Naik also released the Indian Air Force Special issue published by India Strategic to mark IAF's 77th birthday on October 8.

Distinguished speakers included the Deputy National Security Adviser, Mr Shekhar Dutt, Distinguished Scientist and Chief Controller in DRDO, Dr Prahlada, Air Vice Marshal P K Srivastava, former Vice Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Vinod Patney, Air Marshal Ashok Goel (Retd), Director of Indian Army's think tank Centre for Land Warfare Studies (CLAWS), Brig Gurmeet Kanwal, Additional Director General (Arty), Major General P K Chakravorty, Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (IDSA)'s Wing Commander Ajey Lele and Israel's Deputy Defence Attache in New Delhi, Colonel Matan Sagi.

Director of DRDO's Aeronautical Developmennt Agency (ADA), Mr P S Subramanyam, threw light on India's indigenous future aircraft and systems development, while Director of DRDO's Centre for Air-borne Systems (CABS), Dr S Christopher, outlined how India was making efforts towards building indigenous AWACS capability using both Indian and imported components and capabilities.

From the international aerospace industry, Dr Vivek Lall, Boeing IDS head for India, and Dr Mukund Acharya from Honeywell US, outlined future trends in aircraft, systems, weapons, stealth and engine thrust. Both are distinguished experts in aerospace and aeronautics.
