Toronto. A contingent of Canadian flight schools is visiting India to promote flight training in Canada.

“We are travelling under the umbrella of our Air Transport Association of Canada (ATAC). We all look forward greatly to talking with the Indian aviation community about the training we can offer Indian students at ATAC member schools in Canada. We also look forward greatly to getting the advice of Indian airlines about the training they would like us to provide,” says Joan Williams, Director of Business Development, Toronto Airways Ltd.

She said that students can be reassured about the quality of Canadian ATAC schools training. It is all conducted according to ICAO standards, and equally important, it meets the requirements for DGCA licensing. “We are also experienced at helping our Indian students convert their Canadian licences to Indian licences.”

Flight schools offer Indian students all the normal ICAO standard training for Private, Commercial, Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings. Our prices are highly competitive internationally. Many of our schools have already had experience in welcoming and training Indian students.

Students can earn a Flight Instructor Rating and gain work and flying experience in Canada. Typically this involves before returning home. We also offer Bridging Training to prepare students for working in the charter and airline world. Students can even take type rating training in Canada.

Ms Williams said that the visiting flight schools are coming with eager ears. “We hope to engage Indian airline personnel in a conversation where they will share their advice with us. We are avid to know exactly what Indian airlines feel we should be offering in our training programs to meet their needs.“

The delegation is holding information seminars in Hyderabad from Mar 5, just after the India Aviation 2010.
