9th International Yoga Day Celebrated at Headquarters Training Command, Indian Air Force

Bangalore, June 21. Recognizing the immense power and importance of Yoga to reinvigorate immunity and help overcome illness, through Yoga, the 9th International Yoga Day was celebrated at Head Quarters Training Command campus with the theme “Har Ghar Aangan Yoga” – Yoga in every House Courtyard.

The yoga event was conducted by adhering to common yoga protocols promulgated by Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.

Air Marshal R Radhish, Air Officer-Commanding-in-Chief TRAINING Command, along with other senior functionaries and 300 IAF personnel and families of HQ Training Command, enthusiastically participated in the International Yoga day, as a day to rejuvenate their physical and mental prowess.

Similarly, the yoga day was celebrated at Equipment Depot, Air Force Station, Bengaluru.

Air Marshal Vibhas Pande AVSM, VSM, Air Marshal Commanding-in-Chief, Maintenance Command, Indian Air Force, spoke about the health benefits from yoga, its historical origins in ancient Indian scriptures and how it is the perfect way to ensure overall health and physical fitness.

The Air Warriors and their family members performed various yoga kriyas and meditation. The session ended with sankalpa and prayer.
