Rosoboronexport to showcase a wide range of weapons and security equipment at MILEX 2023 in Minsk

Russia, May 15. Rosoboronexport (part of the Rostec State Corporation) is organizing Russia’s joint exhibit at MILEX 2023, an international exhibition and trade fair of arms and military equipment, which will be held from May 17 to 20 at the Minsk-Arena multifunctional sports and entertainment complex in Minsk, the capital of the Republic of Belarus.

The trade fair is sponsored by the State Military-Industrial Committee and the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus and organized by the BelExpo National Exhibition Center, a company run by the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Belarus.

“Rosoboronexport is proud to present at MILEX 2023 a wide range of Russian military and special-purpose products, as well as technologies that help safeguard national defense and security. We’re showing innovative competitive R&D products that demonstrate strong technology capacities of Russian enterprises,” said Alexander Mikheev, Director General of Rosoboronexport. “In the year of the 20th anniversary of the State Military-Industrial Committee of the Republic of Belarus and the 70th anniversary of the Russian military-technical cooperation system, we note the highest level of cooperation between our two countries, mutual trust and an unprecedented scale of industrial collaboration in the field of joint development and release of advanced products.”

Russia’s exhibit includes products from 17 manufacturers, including Rostec-affiliated large holding companies. Rosoboronexport presents state-of-the-art models of air materiel, including the Il-76MD-90A military transport aircraft, the Su-35 multirole super-maneuverable fighter, the Mi-17V-5 military transport helicopter and the Mi-35M transport/attack helicopter, as well as upgraded versions of the Mi-28NE and Ka-52 attack helicopters, which boast a superior combat strength and capabilities to engage small ground as well as low-speed air targets with pinpoint accuracy.

In the air defense segment, the guests will be able to see the systems developed and produced by Almaz-Antey Concern, in particular the Viking surface-to-air missile (SAM) system. The system is capable of engaging tactical ballistic and cruise missiles, strategic, tactical and army aircraft, including those based on stealth technology, precision-guided weapons, unmanned aerial vehicles and helicopters. The Viking can be integrated with precision guided weapon (PGW) protection systems such as the Tor short-range SAM system.

The Tor-M2KM SAM system is designed to repel strikes of a wide range of air weapons, including drones, at different altitudes. Its self-contained fighting module can be used in a fixed version to cover stationary facilities, and it can also be mounted on various chassis and platforms.

The Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft gun/missile (SPAAGM) system from Rostec-affiliated holding company High Precision Systems, which will be on display in Minsk, is capable of engaging targets with missiles at ranges from 1200 m to 20 km and at altitudes from 15 m to 15 km, and also with guns, at ranges from 200 m to 4 km and altitudes up to 3 km. The combat vehicle can operate independently and simultaneously engage four air targets.

Among the most advanced models of Ground Forces equipment featured at the exhibition, Rosoboronexport presents the T-90MS MBT, the BTR-82A armored personnel carrier, the TOS-1A heavy flamethrower system and the Kornet-EM ATGM system, as well as the Typhoon K-53949 and Typhoon-VDV MRAP vehicles and Linza, a protected ambulance vehicle.

As for new releases of small arms, the 7.62×54-mm Chukavin sniper/marksman rifle from Kalashnikov Concern is exhibited at MILEX. It is a modern self-loading sniper weapon that enables members of the armed forces to carry out missions in the most challenging climates and locations.

High-precision rifles provide a wide range of tactical capabilities, from firing practice and sports shooting to special missions with effective firing ranges of up to 1,500 m and longer. Some of the models that Rosoboronexport is showing at the exhibition are capable of silent and flameless shooting, as well as hitting armored targets. Among the new high-precision products, Rosoboronexport will offer the Phantom and Raptor rifles of the Russian brand Bespoke Gun. The company also promotes its ORSIS and Lobaev rifles on the world market.

In addition, visitors to the Rosoboronexport booth will be able to see a line of Kalashnikov assault rifles of different calibers: AK-200 series, AK-12, AK-15, AK-19, AK-308, as well as the Kalashnikov PPK-20 submachine gun and Lebedev pistols.

Amidst the spread of the terrorist threat and increased criminal activity, improving the level of security of citizens becomes a priority task for the State. Rosoboronexport offers the most advanced and effective equipment for law enforcement agencies and special purpose units as part of the company’s Security Equipment project.

The SR1.M, one of the world’s most powerful pistols, is always ready for combat and for aimed fire at a distance of up to 100 meters. Despite its lightweight body, the weapon is capable of hitting even armor-protected targets.

The ShAK-12 bullpup assault rifle combines compactness and unmatched firepower of a large-caliber weapon. Due to the use of different types of ammunition, it is highly effective as a close combat weapon, leaving no chance for the enemy.

Target observation, recognition and validation, high-precision aimed fire at medium and long ranges in any weather, day or night are possible thanks to high-quality universal sights suitable for any type of weapon. Rosoboronexport will display the Argus and Dedal sights at the exhibition.

Reconnaissance missions and observation posts are supported by fixed and mobile technical, video and thermal perimeter monitoring systems presented at MILEX.

A lightweight electric shock shield with additional protection against flammable liquids, as well as a semiautomatic pistol with traumatic, tear-gas and other cartridges will provide individual protection for law enforcement officers at close distances. Non-lethal weapons are indispensable for security and law-enforcement employees. Electric shock devices with wide ergonomic capabilities, supplied in different form factors, including those with remote control and metal detector functions, are also on display at the exhibition.

Rosoboronexport has scheduled a busy business program in Minsk, which includes meetings and negotiations with representatives of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus, other security agencies, leading national manufacturers and exporters of weapons, military equipment, and other high-tech dual-use and civilian products.
