US Vice President arrives on four-day official visit to India
New Delhi, April 21. US Vice President JD Vance arrived here on Monday on a four-day official visit to India. He is being be accompanied by Second Lady Usha Vance, their children, and senior members of the US Administration.
“A very warm welcome to @VP JD Vance, @SLOTUS Mrs. Usha Vance, & the U.S. delegation to India,” the External Affairs Ministry posted on its X handle. “Received by Minister of Railways and I&B @AshwiniVaishnaw at the airport.
The Official Visit (21–24 Apr) spanning Delhi, Jaipur & Agra is expected to further deepen the India–US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership.”
This is Vice President Vance’s first visit official visit to India. During the visit, he will be meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday. The Vice President and his delegation will have other engagements in Delhi and are also scheduled to visit Jaipur and Agra before departing for Washington, on April 24.
According to a statement issued by the External Affairs Ministry, the visit will provide an opportunity for both sides to review the progress in bilateral relations and the implementation of the outcomes of the India-US Joint Statement issued on February 13 this year during Modi’s visit to the US. The two sides will also exchange views on regional and global developments of mutual interest.
