Bharat Forge to set up advanced aerospace ring mill following deal with Pratt & Whitney Canada
Pune, July 30. Bharat Forge Ltd. (BFL), a leading global player in advanced forging and precision engineering, is set to establish a state-of-the-art ring mill focused on aerospace applications, marking a significant milestone in India’s push to strengthen its aerospace manufacturing capabilities.
The announcement follows the signing of key contracts with Pratt & Whitney Canada for the supply of critical aerospace components. The upcoming facility will be dedicated to manufacturing high-performance products for aero-engine applications, incorporating advanced technologies and conforming to stringent global standards of quality and traceability.
“This new ring mill deepens our strategic collaboration with Pratt & Whitney Canada and represents a major step forward in enhancing India’s capabilities in high-value aerospace manufacturing,” said Amit Kalyani, Vice-Chairman and Joint Managing Director of Bharat Forge Ltd.

The advanced ring mill is slated to become operational in 2026 and will cater to both domestic and international aerospace programs. It is expected to significantly bolster India’s aspirations of becoming a global hub for aerospace manufacturing, while also reinforcing Bharat Forge’s position as a critical supplier in the international aerospace supply chain.
