Indian Army Inducts WZT-3 ARVs Refurbished by JCBL Group (ADSL), Boosting Battlefield Recovery

3 ARVs to strengthen battlefield recovery capabilities through full restoration to operational readiness

Pathankot, October 10, 2025. The Kharga Corps of the Indian Army has inducted three Armoured Recovery Vehicles (ARVs) WZT-3, refurbished by Airbonics Defence & Space Pvt Ltd (ADSL), a subsidiary of the JCBL Group. The refurbishment was carried out under the Other Capital Procurement Procedure of the Western Command for the Black Arrow Brigade.

Army Officials with Mr. Rajkumar Pandey, MD & CEO, JCBL (ADSL).

The refurbishment was completed in seven months, even as ADSL technicians worked through demanding conditions during Operation Sindoor under the threat of drone and aerial attacks to ensure the ARVs were fully operational. This involved complete disassembly, repair, and reassembly of the utility portions of the ARVs. Major components refurbished or replaced included hydraulic systems, winches, crane, side gear boxes, intermediate gear box and bulldozer assembly, in addition to a complete electrical wire harness for the utility portion was also replaced. The vehicles passed rigorous Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) before induction, highlighting the Indian Army’s meticulous standards and the smooth teamwork with its industry partners.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lt Gen Rajesh Pushkar commended the JCBL Group and ADSL team for their professionalism and effective coordination as the Indian Army’s industry partner. He also praised the officers and the troops of the Black Arrow Eagles for maintaining consistently high equipment availability.

Mr Rishi Aggarwal, Managing Director, JCBL Group, stated, “We are proud to partner with the Indian Defence Forces on multiple projects. I thank the Army for placing their trust in ADSL and the Group, which motivates us to keep enhancing our support to India’s defence readiness.”

Earlier this year, the JCBL Group signed India’s first defence MoU with Slovakia to co-develop technologies for next-generation combat vehicles, marking another step in its expanding collaboration with the Indian Defence Forces. Shortly after, the Army achieved a key milestone by rolling out its first overhauled VT-72B ARV from the 512 Army Base Workshop, Pune, with ADSL as the sole industry partner.
