Rashtriya Military School Model United Nations 2025 Inaugurated
Bengaluru, October 31, 2025. Rashtriya Military School Model United Nations Conference 2025 was formally inaugurated on October 31, 2025 by Brigadier Ranjeet Alva, SM, Deputy General Officer Commanding, Karnataka & Kerala Sub Area, & Chairman Local Board of Administration, Rashtriya Military School Bengaluru who presided over the Opening ceremony as the Chief Guest.
In his inaugural address, Brig Ranjeet Alva, SM, spoke about the continued relevance of the United Nations in a world challenged by regional conflicts, humanitarian crisis and geopolitical tension. There is an urgent need for respect for humanity, for unity in diversity and for leadership grounded in sympathy and understanding, he continued. Reminding the student delegates that they are the future leaders of the nation, Brig Alva urged them to imbibe values of dialogue and diplomacy, critical thinking and collaborative problem solving for the greater good of the world. He exhorted them to learn time management and not to get distracted but remain focused on their career goal.
The Opening ceremony was attended by a large number guests and invitees including Principals of reputable schools in the vicinity besides teacher observers from the 05 Rashtriya Military Schools across the nation and the 3 Army public Schools in Bangalore, besides Mr Devesh Gupta, Mr Parth Aggarwal and members of the executive board of The Dais, the youth empowerment and education agency with which is conducting the event.
RMSMUN is a prestigious platform designed for cadets of Rashtriya Military Schools across India to engage in structured deliberations on pressing global issues. It is held in collaboration with The Dais, a youth empowerment and education agency. In the present 2025 edition of RMS MUN, student delegates will deliberate on ‘Combating State-sponsored Terrorism’ in the Model United Nations General Assembly, while in the Model United Nations Security Council, they will debate on ‘Regulating the Development and Use of Lethal Autonomous Weapon Systems.’
As many as 65 student delegates from the 5 Rashtriya Military Schools and 3 Army Public Schools are participating in the two-day RMS MUN Conference 2025. The event will conclude on November 1, 2025.
