Army Commander of Army Training Command Visits Bengaluru

Bengaluru, December 6, 2025. Lieutenant General Devendra Sharma, PVSM, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Army Training Command (ARTRAC) visited Bengaluru from December 3 to 6, 2025. The visit focussed on enhancing jointness, reviewing training infrastructure and exploring emerging technologies relevant to Indian Army’s future-ready capabilities.

During the visit, the Army Commander visited the Air Force Training Command Headquarters.  The interaction with the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Air Marshal Tejinder Singh, AVSM, VSM underscored the strengthening of jointness and synergy between the Army and Air Force, with the discussion centred on joint training framework and inter-service cooperation.

While on a visit to Deloitte Centre of Innovation & Technology, accompanied by Lieutenant General JK Gera, Commandant, ASC Centre & College, the Army Commander, was apprised of cutting-edge solutions and the potential application of artificial intelligence into Army operations.

On December 5, 2025, the Army Commander visited the Army Service Corps (ASC) Centre & College.  During the visit he was briefed on all ongoing and future training initiatives. The General reviewed the infrastructural development in the establishment with specific reference to projects with high technology content in Drones, Logistics, Mechanical Transport and Air Maintenance. He appreciated the establishment for swiftly absorbing emerging technologies and aligning innovations with contemporary operational needs.

Later in the day, the Army Commander visited The Corps of Military Police (CMP) Centre and School. Brig Mayank Vaid, Commandant CMP Centre & School briefed the Army Commander on training programmes, modernisation initiatives and future capability development. He commended the institution for its contribution to upholding the discipline, ethos and professional standards of the Indian Army.

As the Colonel of the Regiment of Scinde Horse, the General Officer interacted with the veterans of the Regiment residing in Bengaluru, reaffirming the Army’s longstanding commitment to its veteran community.

This visit of the Army Commander ARTRAC reflects the Indian Army’s commitment to collaboration, technological advancement and operational excellence and abiding connections with veterans.
