Rostec to showcase IL-114-300 and import-substituted Superjet 100 at Wings India 2026

New Delhi, January 21. Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), part of the Rostec State Corporation, will make its first overseas presentation of two of its latest regional aircraft – the IL-114-300 turboprop and the import-substituted Superjet 100 – at the Wings India 2026 exhibition in Hyderabad.

The domestically produced aircraft will debut abroad during the four-day civil aviation event scheduled from January 28 to 31, marking a key moment for Russia’s civil aviation industry on the international stage.

The Superjet 100 will be showcased in the static display area in a special livery incorporating elements of the Indian national flag. Built using serial production technologies, the aircraft is equipped entirely with Russian systems and components, including PD-8 engines developed by the United Engine Corporation (UEC), another Rostec subsidiary. As part of Russia’s import-substitution programme, the aircraft features a newly developed Russian-made cabin interior, which will be presented to the public for the first time.

Alongside the Superjet, UAC will also display the IL-114-300 turboprop aircraft with its passenger cabin installed. Powered by TV7-117ST-01 engines from UEC, the aircraft is manufactured using domestic components and is scheduled to take part in the exhibition’s flight display programme.

Highlighting India’s importance as a partner, Rostec said the country remains one of Russia’s key strategic allies, with longstanding technological cooperation under initiatives such as Make in India. While Russian combat aircraft have traditionally found strong demand in India, Rostec noted that the civil aviation sector also offers significant opportunities. The corporation pointed to India’s UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik) scheme – aimed at expanding regional connectivity and making air travel more affordable – as a potential driver for the commercial success of the Superjet 100 and IL-114-300 in the Indian market.

At Wings India 2026, UAC will present a range of advanced Russian civil aviation technologies at its dedicated stand. The programme will also include roundtable discussions on the development of India’s aviation sector, with participation from UAC specialists. Regional airlines in India have expressed strong interest in UAC’s civil aircraft, and demonstrations of both the Superjet 100 and IL-114-300 for Indian aviation professionals are planned with support from the Russian Trade Mission in India.

The import-substituted Superjet 100 on display first flew on September 5, 2025, becoming the first aircraft built with serial technologies in the final configuration intended for customer deliveries.

Designed to strengthen regional air connectivity, the IL-114-300 is capable of operating independently from small airfields with limited infrastructure and short runways. The aircraft is undergoing certification for use across a wide range of environments, including Arctic regions, mountainous terrain, and tropical, subtropical and hot climates.

Wings India 2026 is Asia’s largest civil aviation exhibition and is jointly organised by the Ministry of Civil Aviation, the Government of India, the Airports Authority of India and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).
