Embraer to showcase E195-E2 and E175 jets at Wings India 2026, eyes regional connectivity push

Hyderabad, January 23. Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer will showcase its E195-E2 and E175 commercial aircraft at the Wings India 2026 aviation event in Hyderabad from January 28, underlining its focus on expanding regional air connectivity and promoting sustainable aviation in India.

E195-E2

The company, in a press release, said its participation reflects a commitment to offering customised solutions for India’s growing aviation market, particularly to help airlines open new routes linking major cities with underserved inland destinations.

The E195-E2, which will be on static display, is among the most fuel-efficient single-aisle jets in its class, with up to 29 percent lower fuel consumption than earlier-generation aircraft. Configured to carry 132 to 146 passengers, the aircraft targets the up-to-150-seat segment and offers strong cost efficiency per seat. The E2 family is certified to operate with up to 50 percent sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and has already demonstrated operations using 100 percent SAF.

The E175 regional jet, widely recognised for its performance, already forms a significant part of Star Air’s fleet in India and dominates the regional market in the US with an estimated 80 percent share. Embraer said recent upgrades in avionics, cabin design and onboard services have enhanced passenger comfort, aligning the aircraft with the newer E2 family standards.

Adity Shekhar, Embraer’s Regional Vice President of Sales, said the E-Jet programme has been one of the most successful in the global aviation industry and could help strengthen connectivity between metropolitan centres and smaller cities in India. She added that many domestic routes remain underserved and present significant growth opportunities.

Embraer is currently the leading manufacturer of commercial jets with up to 150 seats, with more than 1,900 E-Jets and E-Jets E2 aircraft delivered to over 80 airlines in 50 countries. Around 50 Embraer aircraft across 11 models are operating in India, serving the Indian Air Force, government agencies, executive aviation operators and regional airlines. The company is also pitching its C-390 Millennium transport aircraft for India’s Medium Transport Aircraft programme in partnership with a local conglomerate under the ‘Made in India’ framework.

As an ‘Aviation Innovation Partner’ for Wings India 2026, Embraer said it aims to showcase solutions that support India’s sustainable aviation growth and connectivity ambitions. Visitors and customers can explore the company’s aircraft portfolio and technologies at Booth 9B in Hall B during the event.
