Captain Nikunj Parashar with Dr Abhishek

Founded by Capt Nikunj Parashar along with Mridul Babbar, Lakshay Dang, Ankit Kumar and Saurabh Patil, Sagar Defence Engineering focuses on transforming India’s defence ecosystem through autonomous and unmanned technologies. EndureAir Systems, set up by Abhishek, Rama Krishna and Chirag Jain, has emerged from IIT Kanpur research to build mission-ready aerial robotics platforms tailored to Indian operational requirements.

The investment is aimed at strengthening India’s domestic defence technology base by backing startups that combine deep technical expertise with scalable innovation. Capt Parashar said the partnership goes beyond financial support and reflects Sagar Defence Engineering’s belief in fostering innovation rooted in courage, perseverance and long-term technological impact.

Abhishek, co-founder of EndureAir Systems, said the collaboration represents a technological partnership that will bring together Sagar Defence Engineering’s industry experience with EndureAir’s research and development capabilities. He added that the alliance has the potential to create significant value for India’s defence industry.

Both companies said the partnership will focus on accelerating the design, development and deployment of unmanned and autonomous aerial systems, reducing dependence on imports and enhancing self-reliance in critical defence technologies. The collaboration is also expected to support national objectives such as ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ (Self-reliant India) and ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) by promoting homegrown innovation and manufacturing.

Sagar Defence Engineering said it looks forward to working closely with EndureAir Systems as the two companies seek to advance India’s aerial robotics capabilities and strengthen the country’s future-ready defence ecosystem.
