Sanjay Seth to lead Indian delegation at World Defence Show 2026 in Saudi Arabia
New Delhi, February 6. Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth will head a high-level Indian delegation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to participate in the third edition of the World Defence Show (WDS) 2026, scheduled to be held on February 8 and 9.
The biennial defence exhibition is expected to bring together more than 700 exhibitors and around 400 official delegations from across the globe. India’s delegation will include senior officials from the Department of Defence Production and officers from the armed forces.
A key highlight of India’s participation will be the inauguration of the country’s first-ever India Pavilion at the event by the Minister of State for Defence. Spread across 400 square metres, the pavilion will showcase India’s expanding indigenous defence manufacturing and technological capabilities. Leading public sector defence enterprises – such as Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited, Advanced Weapons and Equipment India Limited, Munitions India Limited, Bharat Electronics Limited, India Optel Limited, Bharat Dynamics Limited and Yantra India Limited – will display a range of products including tanks, artillery systems, missiles, ammunition and radar systems.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, Seth is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with his Saudi Arabian counterpart. He will also engage with representatives of major Saudi industry bodies to explore avenues for deeper defence cooperation and enhanced industrial collaboration between the two countries.
Hosted by Saudi Arabia, the World Defence Show has emerged as an important international platform for the global defence industry. For India, the event holds strategic significance as it provides an opportunity to project its indigenisation drive, advanced defence technologies and manufacturing strengths, while strengthening partnerships within the global defence ecosystem.
