Bharat Showcases Maritime Security Leadership at World Border Security Congress 2026 in Vienna
New Delhi, April 17, 2026. A three-member Indian delegation, led by Additional Director General Anand Prakash Badola, PTM, TM, participated in the World Border Security Congress 2026 held in Vienna. Austria, from April 14 to 16, 2026.
Established in 2012, the Congress is a premier international platform that brings together senior government officials, security experts, and industry leaders to deliberate on emerging challenges, technological innovations, and best practices in border management, while fostering international cooperation.
Addressing the forum on “Maritime Safety and Security, ADG AP Badola highlighted the proactive role of the BharatiyanTatrakshak in ensuring maritime safety, combating illegal activities at sea, and promoting regional cooperation. He emphasised the complexity of maritime borders and underscored the need for enhanced international collaboration, seamless coordination, and integrated security frameworks to effectively address evolving maritime threats while respecting national sovereignty.
The delegation also showcased Bharat’s best practices in safeguarding its maritime boundaries, reflecting the nation’s commitment to robust and resilient maritime governance. Bharat’s participation reaffirms its commitment to strengthening global partnerships and advancing cooperation in border and maritime security.
