Elbit Systems Sweden Successfully Completes One of Europe’s Largest Live Field-Demonstrations of a Digitalized Land Force Network

  • Over a two-week period, a large-scale field demonstration in Sweden showcased a unified digital network seamlessly connecting soldiers, vehicles, and command posts for real-time data sharing across all levels of command. Built on a NATO-interoperable architecture, the solution leverages proven Elbit Systems technologies – E-LynX™, Torch-X™, and TIGER-X – supporting robust communications and effective coordination in complex operational environments.

Gothenburg, Sweden, June 8, 2026. Elbit Systems Sweden AB, a subsidiary of Elbit Systems Ltd. that specializes in advanced digitalization, communication, and radio technologies for modern land forces, has successfully concluded a two-week series of 120-node live demonstrations – among the largest and most comprehensive held in Europe – showcasing integrated, digitized land-force networking under realistic field conditions.

The demonstrations, attended by participants from across Europe, NATO member states, international partners and leading OEM collaborators, connected operational elements, vehicles, sensors, and soldiers into unified digital networks. Throughout the two-week series, each daily event presented a comprehensive set of operational scenarios, repeatedly demonstrating the system’s multi-domain connectivity, NATO interoperability, cross-domain integration and real-time mission coordination from headquarters to the tactical edge.

Building on Elbit Systems’ extensive experience in delivering digitized command, control and communication solutions, the demonstrations featured the company’s end-to-end Digitalization Solution operating across a 120-node tactical network, powered by the E-LynX™ Software Defined Radio (SDR) family, the Torch-X™ Battle Management System and the TIGER-X Command-and-Control architecture – all field-proven and widely deployed in modernization programs across Europe and worldwide.

During the live scenarios, reconnaissance drones, command posts, armored vehicles and dismounted soldiers maintained real-time voice, video and data connectivity across the network. Commanders monitored the evolving battlefield picture and issued digital maneuver orders, while soldiers at the tactical edge shared intelligence and positional data. The exercises demonstrated how Elbit Systems’ digitized framework transforms connectivity into operational advantage – delivering resilient, secure communications, automation and interoperability with NATO and third-party C2 systems, Starlink and other commercial communication systems.

“This campaign represents a significant milestone for Elbit Systems Sweden and for the ongoing digitalization of European land forces,” said Tobias Wennberg, CEO of Elbit Systems Sweden. “The ability to connect diverse platforms – from sensors and soldiers to vehicles and command posts – into one fast, flexible, secure network was successfully demonstrated here. The digitalization capabilities we present are the result of years of accumulated experience and operational know-how gained in multiple programs around the world. Elbit Systems is well positioned to support European and NATO customers seeking to modernize and transform their forces into fully digital, networked armies.”
