Union Minister for Science & Technology Dr. Jitendra Singh to launch 6th RISE Conclave in Bengaluru

Conclave to be organised under "Whole-of-Government, Whole-of-Society and Whole-of-Science and Innovation" framework

Bengaluru, June 10, 2026. The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), under the aegis of the Ministry of Science & Technology, is organising the 6th edition of the RISE Conclave 2026 in Bengaluru on the 13th and 14th of June 2026. This premier national platform on innovation and entrepreneurship will bring together research institutions, industry leaders, start-ups, academia, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and students to deliberate, collaborate, and co-create solutions aligned with India’s “Whole-of-Science and Innovation” Vision.

Organised under the “Whole-of-Government, Whole-of-Society and Whole-of-Science and Innovation” framework, the conclave is spearheaded by CSIR and its constituent laboratories namely CSIR-NAL (Bengaluru), CSIR-4PI (Bengaluru) and CSIR-CFTRI (Mysuru), along with other S&T Departments and the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES). Building on the success of earlier editions held in Jammu, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Lucknow, and Chennai, the Bengaluru edition aims to foster academic R&D and industry collaboration. This collaboration has become a pivotal driver of organisational innovation, serving as a vital bridge between theoretical advancements and real-world applications.

The RISE Conclave 2026 in Bengaluru is a significant event focusing on three major areas:

  • Aerospace Technologies for growth.
  • AI for Everyone: Navigating Technology, Society & Ethics.
  • AGRI-FOOD Nexus 2026: Architecting the Lab-to-Market Pipeline.

The event will feature an 8-panel session consisting of top industries, start-ups, and MSMEs in aerospace, data science, and food technology. It will host 25 Keynote and Panel Speakers from Industry, Academia, and Research. Prominent participating organisations and speakers include Bosch, TASL, Airbus, L&T, BEML, Schneider, IBM, Licious, Happilo, ISRO, GKVK-UAS, IIM-Bangalore, IIM-Nagpur, IISc, various venture capitalists, and emerging start-ups.

The two-day event will witness over 800 delegates across the Aerospace, Food Technology, and Data Science & AI domains representing CSIR, ISRO, DST, ICAR, and IISc. Discussions will cover industry collaborations and challenges, building next-generation start-ups, commercialisation of CSIR patents, venture funding, and aligning academic research with industry needs.

Additionally, the RISE Conclave will showcase start-ups exhibiting innovative products, technologies, and services, offering young entrepreneurs a chance to learn the nitty-gritty of the start-up ecosystem. An added attraction is the S&T Pavilion, representing CSIR, ICAR, ICMR, and ISRO, designed to encourage students and young researchers to pursue scientific research, build critical problem-solving skills, and gain hands-on lab experience.
