7th edition of the Marshal of the Air Force Arjan Singh Memorial Hockey Tournament – 2026
Bengaluru, July 3, 2026. Late Marshal of the Air Force Arjan Singh DFC was the first and only ‘Five Star’ rank officer of the Indian Air Force. His passion for the game of hockey was unparalleled. The IAF legend has always been an inspiration to air warriors, leading from the front not only in the war front but also in the field of sports.
The 7th edition of the Marshal of the Air Force Arjan Singh Memorial Hockey Tournament was conducted from June 23 to July 3, 2026 at Amit Singh Bakshi Hockey Stadium, Air Force Station Jalahalli.
The tournament was inaugurated by Air Marshal S Sivakumar, VSM, Air Officer-in-Charge Administration (AOA). A total of 16 teams participated in the tournament.
The Closing Ceremony was held on July 3, 2026 at 0730 Hr. Air Marshal Seethepalli Shrinivas, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Training Command was the Chief Guest for the ceremony. Air Marshal P.C.P. Anand, VSM, Director General (Administration) also graced the occasion with his presence.
The final match was played between Indian Air Force and Indian Navy. Indian Air Force won the final match by 2-1 goals. Sgt Anand Lakra and Agniveer Agyapal were declared Man of the Match and Player of the Tournament, respectively.
The medals and trophies were presented to the winner and runner-up teams along with cash awards of ₹10,00,000/- and ₹8,00,000/- respectively.
The prominent international hockey player P.R. Sreejesh along with distinguished hockey veterans were felicitated by the Chief Guest during the ceremony.
