Farnborough 2026: Aerospace Looks Beyond Turbulence

By R Chandrakanth

London. The Farnborough International Airshow 2026 from July 20 to 24, comes at a time when the global aerospace industry is navigating one of the most complex operating environments in decades.

This year’s event assumes greater significance as commercial aviation grapples with geopolitical conflicts, supply chain disruptions, fuel price volatility and unprecedented demand for new aircraft. The global airline industry has staged a remarkable recovery since the pandemic, with passenger traffic on many international routes surpassing pre-COVID levels. Airlines across Asia, the Middle East and parts of Europe are aggressively expanding their fleets to cater to rising travel demand.

However, this resurgence has collided with severe manufacturing bottlenecks that continue to constrain aircraft deliveries. Both of the world’s dominant commercial aircraft manufacturers, Airbus and Boeing, have been struggling to meet production targets.
