INS Sudarshini departs from Boston after representing India at SAIL 250 celebrations
Boston, July 26. Indian Navy sail training ship INS Sudarshini departed from Boston in the United States on July 25 after participating in the SAIL 250 celebrations and International Naval Review 250 as part of its ongoing Lokayan 26 deployment.
During its stay in the US, the ship represented India’s maritime heritage and engaged with international naval partners through a series of professional and cultural activities.
INS Sudarshini participated in SAIL 250 events held across Norfolk, Baltimore, New York and Boston. It also hosted dignitaries, members of the Indian diaspora and naval delegations from different countries, highlighting India’s commitment to strengthening maritime cooperation and fostering friendship among nations.
The ship has now embarked for Ponta Delgada in the Azores, Portugal. The Indian Navy said INS Sudarshini continues to showcase India’s maritime capabilities, professionalism and goodwill during its overseas deployment.
