Technical Excellence takes flight as Officers Graduate at Air Force Technical College, Bengaluru
Bengaluru, Sep 5, 2026. Air Force Technical College (AFTC) hosted the Passing-out-Parade (PoP) of 107 Aeronautical Engineering Course (AEC) on 05 September 2026, marking the culmination of 62 weeks of rigorous training. A total of 118 Engineering Officers including five Officers from Friendly Foreign Countries (FFC) graduated from the College with flying colours. The parade was attended by dignitaries from the Tri-Services, officials, air warriors, parents and air veterans.
Air Marshal Yalla Umesh, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Maintenance Command, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Reviewing Officer of the Graduation Parade. On arrival, the Reviewing Officer (RO) was received by Air Commodore VN Rao, Commandant, AFTC.
The Air Warrior Drill Team (AWDT) of Indian Air Force presented an entrancing performance which added grandeur and excitement to the celebrations.
The event also witnessed a spectacular flypast by Dornier aircraft and Mi-17 helicopters during the parade. The event culminated with breath-taking stunts demonstrated by the ‘Tornadoes’ – a world famous motorcycle display team of Indian Army Service Corps.
The RO awarded trophies and medallions to the Officers who excelled in the Course. The prestigious ‘Sword of Honour’ for first in the order of Merit was awarded to Flying Officer Raghvendra Pratap Singh, the ‘President’s Plaque’ for the best officer in professional subjects and General Service Training was awarded to Flying Officer Vaibhav Mishra.
The Chief of Air Staff Medals’ for first in the order of merit in Electronics and Mechanical Streams were awarded to Flying Officer Rohan Veer Singh Rawat and Flying Officer Keshika K respectively.
The Air Marshal addressed the gathering and congratulated the graduating officers on the successful completion of their training. He emphasized the importance of professionalism, integrity and service in their future assignments.
The Reviewing Officer also encouraged the officers to continue striving for excellence and to contribute meaningfully to the operational readiness and proud traditions of the Indian Air Force.
