New Delhi. Indian Naval Ship (INS) Trishul arrived at Souda Bay, Greece, on October 31 marking a key port call during its ongoing deployment to the Mediterranean Sea.
The visit is structured to deepen maritime cooperation and reinforce professional ties between the Indian Navy and the Hellenic Navy. During the port call, INS Trishul’s crew will engage in high-level discussions with senior officials from both the Hellenic Navy and the Indian Embassy in Athens, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Defence.
The itinerary features a broad range of joint engagements, including professional exchanges, cross-deck visits, and cultural exchanges. Additionally, the Indian naval personnel will tour facilities at Naval Support Activity (NSA) Souda Bay and the NATO Maritime Interdiction Operational Training Centre (NMIOTC).
As part of the visit’s ceremonial and commemorative events, the crew is scheduled to pay homage at the Souda Bay War Cemetery. The vessel will also host open-ship hours, allowing visitors to board and tour the warship during its stay in Greece.
