Bengaluru, January 10. The Indian Army has announced the “Know Your Army Mela 2025”, One-day event aimed at showcasing the strength, technological advancements and indigenous capabilities of the Armed Forces. The Bengaluru-headquartered Karnataka & Kerala Sub-Area is conducting the event as a build up to Army Day Parade 2025, which will be hosted in Pune on January 15, 2025.

The event will be held at Manekshaw Parade Ground between 8 am to 4 pm. The event is set to showcase the Indian Army’s commitment to fostering stronger connections with citizens while celebrating its transformative journey.

This initiative aims to bridge the gap between civilians and the armed forces by providing an experience into the Indian Army’s technological capabilities and operational readiness.

Visitors at the exhibition can see major equipment featuring advanced artillery guns, small arms and operational tools, complemented by detailed insights into their specifications and applications. Minor equipment stalls will showcase communication systems, engineering tools, and Nuclear, Biological and Chemical warfare suits, highlighting the army’s technological advancements.

They will also be able to enjoy thrilling displays, including paramotor gliding, tanks, daredevil motorcycle stunts, drone demonstrations, combat bridge-laying, and simulators for Army vehicles. Cultural programmes by Army soldiers, along with performances by Army dogs and horses, are also planned.

The mela will feature informative and interactive stalls offering medical assistance, details on recruitment opportunities, an Army placement cell, a veterans’ help desk, and food stalls.

The Karnataka and Kerala Sub Area, known for its role in operations during the Wayanad landslide, will showcase the Army’s capabilities, highlighting their disaster response expertise.

It is a matter of great pride that the ‘Know Your Army’, event is being organised, where the capabilities and innovations of our army can also be seen. One of the main objective of this exhibition is to bring the army closer to the public, especially to encourage the youth and motivate them to join the army.
