Aero India 2027 to showcase India’s expanding aerospace, defence capabilities
New Delhi, September 2. Aero India, Asia’s largest air show and a major global aerospace and defence exhibition, will return for its 16th edition at Air Force Station Yelahanka in Bengaluru from February 8 to 12, 2027, bringing together leading international and Indian players from the sector.
Organised by the Department of Defence Production under the Ministry of Defence, the five-day event is expected to provide a platform for global aerospace and defence companies, policymakers, technology specialists, innovators, industry representatives and armed forces personnel to engage on emerging technologies, manufacturing and strategic cooperation.
Aero India has evolved into a key international showcase of India’s growing capabilities in aerospace and defence manufacturing, while also providing opportunities for business partnerships, technology exchanges and international cooperation. The event is expected to highlight the expansion of India’s defence industrial ecosystem and its increasing participation in global aerospace and defence supply chains.
According to statement issued by the Ministry of Defence, the 2027 edition will feature an exhibition alongside business-to-business and government-to-industry engagements, technology demonstrations and strategic discussions. Industry participants will have opportunities to explore collaborations and partnerships, while aerial displays by the Indian Air Force and international flying teams will showcase advanced aviation capabilities.
The Ministry has launched a dedicated online portal for exhibitors and visitors. Online registration and exhibition-space booking will be available through the Aero India website, with exhibitor registration scheduled to open on September 3, 2026.
The event is also expected to support the government’s ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ (Self-reliant India) initiative by expanding opportunities for Indian defence companies, including micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and startups, to connect with global manufacturers and technology providers.
Through increased participation by domestic industry, Aero India 2027 is expected to generate opportunities for investments, exports, technology partnerships and integration of Indian companies into international defence and aerospace supply chains.
