India marks major presence at Dubai Airshow 2025 with pavilion launch and industry outreach

Dubai, November 17. India marked a strong presence on the opening day of Dubai Airshow 2025 with Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth formally inaugurating the India Pavilion, showcasing the country’s expanding defence manufacturing and technology capabilities.

Seth is leading a high-level Indian delegation comprising senior officials from the Department of Defence, Department of Defence Production, the Ministry of External Affairs, and the armed forces. During his visit, he is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with his UAE counterpart on the sidelines of the five-day event. He will also chair a multination industry roundtable bringing together around 50 companies from India, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Australia, the US, Brazil, the UK and Italy to explore collaborations in defence technology and manufacturing.

The India Pavilion that was inaugurated on November 17 features major public and private-sector exhibitors, including Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL), DRDO, Corel Technologies, Dantal Hydraulics, Image Synergy Ekxplor, and SFO Technologies. Alongside them, 19 Indian defence companies – among them Bharat Forge, BrahMos Aerospace, Tech Mahindra, and HBL Engineering – are participating independently. Fifteen other Indian startups are also displaying innovative products and solution.

Sanjay Seth also held a bilateral meeting with his UAE counterpart Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, on the sidelines of the Airshow. He underlined stronger engagement through institutional mechanisms, defence exhibitions, training cooperation and encouraged exploring joint research, co-development and co-production for deeper defence ties.

Separately, the Indian Air Force’s contingent arrived at Al Maktoum Airbase on Saturday to take part in the biennial show. The IAF noted that this year’s edition will host representatives from over 100 air forces, providing a platform to strengthen interoperability, operational synergy and defence industry partnerships.

The Dubai Airshow, running from November 17 to 21, is one of the world’s largest aerospace events. The 2025 edition has drawn more than 1,500 exhibitors and 148,000 industry professionals from 150 countries, including leading global aerospace firms such as Bombardier, Dassault Aviation, Embraer, Thales, Airbus, Lockheed Martin, and Calidus.
