Sigma Advanced Systems secures £300 million, seven-year aerospace deal with Rolls-Royce
Hyderabad, April 27. Sigma Advanced Systems has signed a seven-year long-term agreement worth nearly £300 million (around ₹3,800 crore) with aerospace major Rolls-Royce, marking a significant step in the company’s expanding global presence in the aerospace supply chain.
The deal deepens Sigma’s strategic engagement with one of the world’s leading aerospace original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and places the company within critical global engineering programmes. The contract is expected to provide the firm with sustained revenue visibility and a stable long-term order pipeline.
Under the agreement, Sigma Advanced Systems will supply a broad range of high-precision, safety-critical components and assemblies for Rolls-Royce’s aerospace programmes. The partnership will be executed through Sigma’s manufacturing network spread across India and the United Kingdom, underscoring the company’s evolution into an integrated global manufacturing platform rather than a location-specific supplier.
The arrangement builds on an existing relationship between the two companies and reflects continued confidence in Sigma’s India-UK dual-source model. While India offers cost-efficient manufacturing scale, the UK operations enable closer engineering collaboration and programme alignment. This combined capability positions Sigma to handle larger and more complex work packages as it transitions from a systems supplier to a more integrated manufacturing partner.
Beyond the immediate business gains, the agreement strengthens Sigma’s participation in long-duration, high-value aerospace programmes and enhances its standing within the global aerospace ecosystem.
Sunil Kumar Kalidindi, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Sigma Advanced Systems, said the partnership validates the company’s investments in building a connected India-UK platform focused on quality, reliability, and long-term collaboration. He added that the agreement would help the company deepen its role in global aerospace programmes while scaling capabilities across both regions.
As Sigma Advanced Systems continues to expand its international footprint, agreements of this nature signal its steady move towards the core of the global aerospace supply chain, taking on increasingly complex and higher-value responsibilities.
