Bengaluru, May 26. BEML Limited, India’s leading Defence Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, presented a dividend cheque of Rs. 45 crore to the Government of India for the financial year 2024-25. Mr. Shantanu Roy, Chairman and Managing Director of BEML, handed over the cheque to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi today, in the presence of Mr. Sanjiv Kumar, Secretary (Defence Production), and other senior officials of the Ministry of Defence.
The dividend disbursement reflects BEML’s consistent financial discipline and commitment to delivering value to its shareholders. The Board of Directors of the company had declared, in a recently held meeting, a second interim dividend of Rs. 15 per equity share of face value Rs. 10 in its recent meeting. This follows an earlier interim dividend of Rs. 5 per equity share declared earlier in the fiscal year, taking the total interim dividend to Rs. 20 per share.
BEML has reported record-breaking results for the fourth quarter of FY 2024-25, posting a net profit of Rs. 288 crore — a 12 percent increase over the Rs. 257 crore achieved in the same period last year. Profit before tax rose 14 percent to Rs. 395 crore, up from Rs. 348 crore in Q4 FY24, while revenue from operations climbed to Rs. 1,653 crore from Rs. 1,514 crore. EBITDA also strengthened, advancing 14 percent to Rs. 427 crore compared with Rs. 375 crore in the previous fiscal’s fourth quarter.
