New Delhi. Hellenic Navy Ship Psara, a MEKO 200 class frigate from Greece, was on her maiden port call at Mumbai from July 11 to 13, 2025. The ship is commanded by Commander Iosif Bazinas.
INS Tarkash and HS Psara had earlier interacted during a port call in Djibouti in end Jun 2025 and participated in exercises in the Arabian Sea on July 10, 2025 wherein the two ships representing their Navies shared best practices and trained in joint operations.
On arrival in Mumbai, the Commanding Officer of the ship called on RAdm Vidyadhar Harke, VSM, Chief Staff Officer (Operations), HQWNC on July 11, 2025. Discussions centred on topics of mutual interest and furthering cooperation between the Navies. To foster Navy to Navy interactions, various activities including cross deck visits and reciprocal cultural events were progressed during the ship’s visit.
These maritime engagements would further strengthen the increasing multi-domain cooperation between India and Greece, with a common aim of progressing shared interests.
