President of India Confers Tatrakshak Medal to Indian Coast Guard Personnel on Independence Day 2025
New Delhi, August 14, 2025. On the occasion of Independence Day 2025, the President of India has conferred the prestigious Tatrakshak Medal (TM) to five Indian Coast Guard personnel in recognition of their acts of conspicuous gallantry, exceptional devotion to duty, and meritorious service.
These awards reflect the highest standards of bravery and commitment demonstrated by the recipients in the line of duty.

Tatrakshak Medal (Meritorious Service):
- Inspector General Anupam Rai

The Tatrakshak Medal is awarded to Indian Coast Guard personnel on the occasions of Republic Day and Independence Day each year. Instituted on 26 Jan 1990, the medal honours distinguished acts of valor, service, and dedication in safeguarding the nation’s maritime interests.
