Banaswadi Military Garrison Marks International Yoga Day 2025 with Vigour and Unity

Bengaluru, June 21. The Gorkha Amphibians at Banaswadi Military Garrison observed International Yoga Day 2025 with exceptional enthusiasm and military precision, in collaboration with The Art of Living International Foundation, Bengaluru. Aligned with the global theme “One Earth, One Health through Yoga”, the event saw participation of over 1000 personnel and families, underscoring the garrison’s commitment to holistic well-being.

At dawn, the parade ground came alive as soldiers and families performed asanas in synchrony under the expert guidance of instructors Mr Yogesh Pande and Ms Tanmayee Desai. The session aimed to reinforce the values of fitness, clarity, and inner balance — pillars of operational readiness and personal resilience.

The event underscored yoga’s integral role in enhancing physical stamina, emotional strength and mental focus, blending seamlessly with the ethos of soldiering. A symbolic exchange of the ‘Fierce Gorkha’ memento and the book ‘The Gurudev – Life of Sri Sri Ravishankar’ between the Garrison Commander and the Instructors marked the conclusion of the event, along with a collective pledge to integrate yoga into daily life.
