Change of Command at Equipment Depot (Air Force), Bengaluru
Bengaluru, January 27. Air Commodore Kaustubh Apte took over the Command of 26 Equipment Depot, Bengaluru on 27 January 2025 from Air Commodore Manoj Kumar. The handing over/ taking over took place with an impressive ceremonial parade by the Depot personnel.
Air Cmde Kaustubh Apte VSM was commissioned in the Logistics Branch of the Indian Air Force on 19th December 1992. He is a Post Graduate in Physics, M Phil in Political Science and holds Executive MBA from IIT Madras, Professional Diploma in Public Procurement, Post Graduate Diploma in Material Management & Executive Diploma in Project Management. He is an alumni of National Defence College New Delhi, College of Air Warfare Secunderabad and Air Force Administrative College Coimbatore.
The Air Officer has vast experience in the field of Provisioning, Procurement and all aspects related to Supply Chain. Before taking over as AOC Equipment Depot, Bengaluru, he was Air Commodore Procurement at Air Headquarter (VB).He is the Founder Director of Central Provisioning Directorate at Air Headquarter (VB).
In recognition of his distinguished service, Air Commodore Apte was awarded with the Vishisht Seva Medal by the Hon’ble President of India in 2010.
