Kalyani Strategic Systems Limited and Paramount unveil Simha 4×4 – next-generation modular multipurpose vehicle for the global market

Eurosatory, Paris, June 16, 2026. Kalyani Strategic Systems Limited (KSSL), the wholly-owned defence subsidiary of Bharat Forge Limited, and Paramount, today unveiled Simha 4×4 – a next-generation Light Armoured Multi-Purpose Vehicle – at Eurosatory 2026. Developed to address the rapidly evolving mobility, protection and mission requirements of armed forces in India, Africa, South Asia, and other global markets, the Simha 4×4, is an ab initio design – that delivers a uniquely capable multi-purpose platform.

Combining Power, Agility, and Protection, the Simha 4×4 is best suited for a mix of Urban Warfare and On and Off-Road Reconnaissance. Building on proven aggregates, its modular architecture allows easy upgrades, customizations, and modifications enabling users to streamline and optimise their supply and MRO Lines.

Designed and engineered from inception as a highly adaptable, modular and mission-configurable platform, the Simha 4×4 armoured vehicle addresses one of the most pressing capability requirements facing modern armed forces – the need for a protected, highly mobile, multi-role vehicle able to operate across a broad spectrum of missions ranging from reconnaissance, internal security and border protection to special operations, command-and-control, troop transport and force protection. The Simha 4×4 has been developed in record time, while prioritising rigorous product validation and testing, using advanced digital platforms.

Mr. Amit Kalyani, Vice Chairman and Joint Managing Director, Bharat Forge Ltd, the parent company of KSSL said, “Simha 4×4 reflects the depth of engineering and defence expertise we bring to the global stage. Europeanized by Design, and built around NATO qualified aggregates, it is engineered for rapid industrialisation in partner nations across the world. This versatile platform is a statement of intent – that India’s defence industry can stand alongside the world’s best, delivering uncompromising protection and tactical mobility to armed forces wherever they operate, and empowering nations to build that capability on their own soil.”

Eric Ichikowitz, Senior Vice President of Paramount said, “Around the world, defence forces are looking for highly adaptable platforms that can perform multiple missions, integrate emerging technologies and be produced locally. The Simha has been designed from the outset to meet those requirements. It combines protection, mobility, modularity and affordability in a platform that can evolve alongside changing operational needs. The Simha 4×4 is much more than a new vehicle. It is a powerful demonstration of what can be achieved when trusted defence companies combine their expertise, industrial capabilities and long-term strategic vision.”

Designed to support local industrialisation and sovereign production objectives, the Simha 4×4 can be rapidly industrialised and localised in partner nations, supporting national defence-industrial development strategies and reducing long-term dependence on foreign supply chains. It joins a growing portfolio of jointly developed defence solutions emerging from the Paramount-KSSL partnership underscoring the value of strategic industrial cooperation in delivering next-generation military capability.
