Headquarters Southern Air Command hosts Indian Air Force Race Cup at MRC Mysuru

Bengaluru, February 7. Air Marshal Tarun Chaudhry Vishisht Seva Medal, Senior Air Staff Officer. HQ Southern Air Command visited 2 Air Force Selection Board on February 6, 2025. On his arrival at Mysuru the Air Marshal was received by Air Commodore Abhijit Tokekar Vayusena Medal, Air Officer Commanding, 2 Air Force Selection Board.

The Air Marshal was the Chief Guest for Air Force Race Cup conducted at Mysuru Race Club on February 6, 2025. ‘Air Force Race Cup’ was instituted by the Indian Air Force in the year 1987 to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of No.2 Air Force Selection Board, Mysuru and is a Rolling Trophy made of high quality silver with national emblem crafted with 24K gold polish finish. It is placed at a place of prominence in Indian Air Force with the name of the cup winner etched on it every year.

During his visit, the Air Marshal interacted with members of the Race Club Committee and other guests while witnessing the races. He presented the Air Force Race Cup to the owner of the winning horse and Salvers to the winning Jockey and the Trainer. During his address, the Air Marshal congratulated the winners of the Air Force Race Cup and appreciated the efforts put in by the members of the organizing committee to conduct the event in professional manner. The Air Marshal thanked the members of Mysuru Race Club for the arrangements and cooperation in the conduct of IAF Race Cup race.
