Elbit Systems Sweden to Launch THMS Mobile Battlefield Networking Platform at DALO

New system enables rapidly deployable communications, sensors and mission systems for digitally connected and distributed land forces

Hernin, Denmark, August 19, 2026. Elbit Systems Sweden AB, a subsidiary of Elbit Systems Ltd., that specializes in advanced digitization, communication, and radio technologies for modern land forces, will launch its new Tactical High Mobility Shelter (THMS) at DALO Industry Days 2026, taking place at MCH Messecenter Herning, Denmark, on August 19-20.

Developed by Elbit Systems Sweden, the THMS is a highly mobile and rapidly deployable battlefield networking platform designed to support digitally connected and distributed land forces. Acting as a forward communication and sensing node, the system extends both line-of-sight and beyond-line-of-sight (BLOS) connectivity and supports operational coordination across maneuvering forces. Its modular architecture enables the integration of a wide range of mission systems supporting different operational requirements.

Recently showcased by Elbit Systems Sweden during one of Europe’s largest live demonstrations of digitalized land force networks, the THMS was presented to European and NATO customers as part of a large-scale field demonstration focused on modern land operations. The system demonstrated its ability to support resilient communications and operational continuity for mobile forces operating in complex and contested environments.

Developed and manufactured in Sweden with a European supply chain, the THMS is designed for operational deployment in demanding environments, including extreme weather and Arctic climate conditions. The system is offered as a mature and ready-to-deploy capability designed to support current and evolving operational requirements.

Combining high mobility, rapid deployment and modular architecture, the THMS is designed to enable armed forces to rapidly establish elevated communication and sensor capabilities without relying on fixed infrastructure or static command posts. Equipped with a telescopic mast reaching up to 25 meters and supporting payloads of up to 100 kg, the system enhances line-of-sight performance while extending operational reach across challenging terrain.

Designed as a multi-role platform, the THMS supports the integration of a wide range of mission payloads and capabilities, including tactical communications, electronic warfare (EW) systems, surveillance and observation systems, electro-optical and infrared sensors (EO/IR), SATCOM, tactical 5G technologies and high-power laser (HPL) capabilities.

The system operates as a fully self-contained unit with integrated power generation, enabling autonomous operation for up to 24 hours while remaining independent of the host vehicle. Its automated mast deployment and unique automatic guying rope system allow setup in less than five minutes while reducing operator workload in the field.

Compatible with both tracked and wheeled platforms, the THMS is designed to support highly mobile and distributed forces while providing flexibility to adapt to evolving mission requirements and future operational technologies.

“Future land operations will depend on the ability to connect distributed forces, sensors and effectors in real time,” said Tobias Wennberg, CEO of Elbit Systems Sweden. “THMS provides a flexible and rapidly deployable platform designed to extend battlefield connectivity and support next-generation digitalized land operations.”

Visitors to DALO Industry Days are invited to meet Elbit Systems Sweden representatives and learn more about the THMS platform and its operational capabilities at booth #2206.

Why It Matters

Modern land operations increasingly require forces to maintain communications, situational awareness and operational coordination while operating across dispersed and rapidly changing environments. In such conditions, reliance on fixed infrastructure or static command posts can limit operational flexibility and survivability. Mobile and rapidly deployable battlefield networking systems help extend operational reach and enable forces to maintain connectivity and mission continuity directly from maneuvering formations.
