Crown Group company, Dynatron Services Signs MoU with Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers to undertake Warship MRO activities

  • Ship Repairs/Refits and Allied Activities with Indigenous Capabilities: A Big Shot in the Arm for “Atmanirbhar Bharat” Mission

Bengaluru, February 16. India’s leading shipyard specializing in Ship Repairs & Ship Building, Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) has signed an MoU with Crown Group Defence company, Dynatron Services Pvt Ltd, India’s Defence MRO major towards undertaking ship repairs/refits and allied activities as associates for Indian Navy and Coast Guard in the Bandhan ceremony at Aero India in presence of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.

Under the agreement, both GRSE & DSPL are jointly partnering to undertake refits/repair of various warships/ auxiliaries of the Indian Navy.

Cmde Rakesh Anand (Retd.), Head of Marine Division, Crown Group Defence said “We are delighted & look forward to building the partnership with GRSE, and utilize our respective technical expertise and capabilities to contribute towards the ‘Make in India’ & ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ initiatives”

Talking about the tie-up, Commodore PR Hari, Chairman & Managing Director, GRSE said, “Crown Group Defence has been a leading contributor to the Indian defence sector, and we believe that this partnership is beginning of a new journey between the two technological companies towards leveraging each other’s capabilities in ship repairs and refit related activities to serve & support Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard.”

Dynatron Services, which has been serving the Indian Navy and Coast Guard for more than four decades, provides ship repairs, general engineering maintenance, ship modernisation services, ship refits, marketing and after-sales support for mechanical and electronic systems.

“DSPL is one of the only organized & fully equipped players in India that is present across all the coastal cities catering to the MRO & servicing of Indian naval ships, providing both Marine Engineering and Weapons system MRO support to Indian Navy & Coast Guard which is an added advantage and enhances the reach of this partnership to the remote location as well.” Cmde Rakesh Anand further added.

With 61 years of shipbuilding expertise, GRSE is the ‘Master Builder’ for amphibious ships in India. GRSE is a versatile shipbuilder engaged in building a wide array of vessels ranging from 05-ton boats to 24600-ton Fleet Tanker including world class Frigates and Fast Attack Crafts.
