The agreement, signed by Anadrone Systems Limited and Kratos during the Eurosatory 2026 defence exhibition, establishes a framework for long-term cooperation aimed at introducing advanced unmanned capabilities to meet the evolving requirements of the Indian armed forces and national security agencies.

Under the partnership, Kratos will bring its expertise in tactical unmanned aerial systems, aerial target platforms and autonomous technologies, while Anadrone will leverage its capabilities in indigenous development, manufacturing, systems integration, operational support and customer engagement in India.

Anant Bhalotia, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Anadrone Systems, said the collaboration comes at a time when India’s defence sector is witnessing a growing emphasis on indigenous development of advanced technologies.

“Through this strategic agreement, we are bringing together global expertise and local execution capabilities to explore next-generation unmanned systems for India,” Bhalotia said.

He added that the company sees significant opportunities to contribute to India’s defence modernisation priorities while supporting the government’s ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ (Self-reliant India) initiative.

The two companies plan to explore opportunities across a broad range of unmanned solutions, including aerial target systems, tactical unmanned aircraft, autonomous mission systems and future defence technologies.

According to the companies, the collaboration will support India’s defence modernisation objectives through progressive localisation, capability development and long-term industrial cooperation.

India is among the world’s fastest-growing markets for advanced unmanned systems, and the partnership aims to combine global technological expertise with local execution capabilities to deliver mission-ready solutions while strengthening the country’s indigenous defence ecosystem.

The companies said the agreement would serve as a platform for future growth and technology collaboration, with details of specific projects and areas of cooperation to be announced as the partnership evolves.
