Mr Salil Gupte is the new President Boeing India
It was a lovely evening after a dusty storm made lovelier by Ashmita Sethi who played the gracious host to introduce Boeing India’s new President Salil Gupte.
A US-born Indian American, Gupte seems to have aviation in his heart and mind, and understandably hopes to further the company’s interests in India. Boeing is already the top US company in Civil, Defence, Space and Security in India and he has an overall charge to spur its growth.
Gupte succeeds Prat Kumar, who has moved to Boeing’s facility in St Louis.
As always, Ashmita, Boeing’s Director Communications and Marketing, managed the occasion with warmth and welcome. Among her guests was her colleague from the US, Charlie Miller, who shoots smiles off his bat in perfect PR exercises better than on any cricket pitch, his passion.
And Amber Dubey, who was recently inducted into the Ministry of Civil Aviation as Joint Secretary. Amber has distinguished himself in Civil Aviation over the years, and his suggestions at seminars and through papers prompted the Government to appoint him in the Ministry through the well-established lateral entry process.
