Guard of Honour and Wreath Laying Ceremony Commemorating Kargil Vijay Diwas
Nagpur. On the solemn occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, a Guard of Honour and Wreath Laying Ceremony was organized by No. 2 Maharashtra Air Squadron NCC, Nagpur under the aegis of NCC Group HQ Nagpur. The ceremony was held on July 26, 2025 at the prestigious Headquarters Maintenance Command (HQMC), Nagpur.
The event was graced by Group Captain Kushal Vyas, Group Commander, NCC Group HQ Nagpur, and Wing Commander V. Deepika Rao, Commanding Officer of No. 2 MAH Air Sqn NCC.
The ceremony commenced with a dignified Guard of Honour by NCC cadets, demonstrating their immaculate discipline and drill precision. This was followed by a Wreath Laying Ceremony, where floral tributes were offered in honour of the brave soldiers who laid down their lives during the 1999 Kargil War. A moment of silence was observed, paying deep respect to the supreme sacrifices of our heroes.
Cadets from the Army, Naval, and Air Wings of NCC participated with full devotion, reflecting the true spirit of patriotism and unity. The Chief Guests addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of national service, dedication, and the legacy of bravery left behind by our armed forces.
The event concluded on a note of solemn pride, instilling a renewed sense of duty and inspiration among all cadets present.
