Homage Paid to the Heroes of 1971 Indo-Pak War during Vijay Diwas Celebrations at Mumbai

Mumbai, December 16. On the occasion of 51st anniversary of India’s glorious victory in 1971 Indo-Pak war, a solemn wreath laying ceremony was organised at Shaheed Smarak, Colaba Military Station, Mumbai to commemorate Vijay Diwas and pay homage to the fallen warriors.

Wreaths were laid by Vice Admiral Ajendra Bahadur Singh, FOC-in-C, Western Naval Command, Lieutenant General HS Kahlon, GOC, Maharashtra Gujarat and Goa Area, Officers from the Tri-services and Veterans. The War Veterans were felicitated after the wreath laying.

A tri-service guard of honour was presented to pay homage to the supreme sacrifice made by fallen heroes during 1971 war, on the occasion of Vijay Diwas at Shaheed smarak Colaba.

The 1971 war not only liberated Bangladesh, but also gave our adversary a crushing blow. Those who had fought the war have written an epic saga of valour, grit, determination and glory.
