HQ Maintenance Command, IAF, Vayusena Nagar, Nagpur Committed to Ni-Kshay Mitra

Nagpur, March 27. HQ Maintenance Command, IAF, Vayusena Nagar, Nagpur extended its support to the “Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (TB-Free India Campaign)” by registering with Ni-Kshay Mitra, a unique initiative to provide community support to TB-afflicted patients on the occasion of World Tuberculosis Day on 24 March, 2023. The Officers of HQ Maintenance Command have committed to provide nutritional support for 100 patients in Nagpur Rural area in accordance with Ni-Kshay Mitra Abhiyaan. Air Marshal Vibhas Pande, Air Officer Commanding in Chief, Maintenance Command handed over food baskets to TB patients in the presence of Dr. Vidyanand Gaikwad, Dr. Hemlata Verma from District Tuberculosis Office, Nagpur and Dr. Vivek Saxena, Taluk Health Officer, Nagpur Rural.

Air Marshal Vibhas Pande appreciated the noble programme, “Ni-Kshay Mitra”, launched by our honorable PM, which gives an opportunity to the community to be a part of the National TB Elimination programme. This support has the potential to improve the health outcomes of TB patients and achieve the goal of ending Tuberculosis as a public health problem in India by 2025. He expressed that while the Indian Air Force is committed to the Ni-Kshay Mitra initiative, HQ Maintenance Command Vayusena Nagar, Nagpur is privileged to participate in this programme to directly support TB patients in Nagpur.
