IAF Commemorates 107th Birth Anniversary of Marshal of the Indian Air Force Arjan Singh, Padma Vibhushan, DFC
Mumbai, April 16, 2026. The 107th birth anniversary of Marshal of the Indian Air Force Arjan Singh, Padma Vibhushan, Distinguished Flying Cross was celebrated at the iconic Gateway of India, Mumbai. Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, Chief of the Air Staff, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The event was conducted with exemplary precision, patriotic fervour and dignified grandeur witnessing an esteemed gathering of distinguished dignitaries and spirited public audience.
The event featured an exquisite flying display, including aero modelling demonstrations by NCC cadets, offered a dynamic visual experience. The evening’s proceedings were further elevated by a spectacular and impeccably synchronised display by the Air Warrior Drill Team, showcasing precision and discipline. The programme continued with an exquisite and meticulously curated performance by the Indian Air Force Band from Headquarters South Western Air Command, presented a harmonious blend of symphonic brilliance and orchestral excellence that captivated and inspired the audience.
In addition to the live performances, the event also featured digital displays and informative banners highlighting the remarkable life and achievements of Marshal of the Indian Air Force, offering attendees an insight into his exemplary service and enduring legacy.
The programme was attended by a wide spectrum of distinguished guests, including Air Force veterans, serving officers from the Indian Defence Forces, civil dignitaries, NCC cadets, school students, and general public. Senior officers from Armed Forces including Air Marshal Tejinder Singh, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, South Western Air Command, Vice Admiral Rahul Vilas Gokhale, Chief of Staff, Western Naval Command, Addl Director General MV Pathak, Coast Guard Commander (Western Seaboard), Air Vice Marshal GS Bhullar, Senior Officer-in-Charge Administration, Headquarters South Western Air Command and Major General Satinder Singh, General Manager, Canteen Stores Department attended the event.
