Indian parliamentary delegation sends strong message of zero tolerance Against terrorism in US Visit
New York, May 26. An Indian all-party parliamentary delegation, led by Member of Parliament Shashi Tharoor, delivered a powerful message of India’s united stand and zero tolerance toward terrorism during its diplomatic outreach in New York.
The six-member delegation – comprising Bhubaneswar Kalita, Milind Murli Deora, Shashank Mani Tripathi, Ganti Harish Madhur, and Ambassador (Retd.) Taranjit Singh Sandhu – underscored India’s national resolve to combat terrorism in all its forms during a series of high-level engagements in the city.
As a symbolic gesture of solidarity and remembrance, the delegation visited the National September 11 Memorial and Museum, paying tribute to the victims of the 9/11 terror attacks. They reaffirmed India’s unwavering commitment to the global fight against terrorism and expressed support for all victims of such heinous acts.
Throughout the visit, the delegation engaged with leading think tanks, academic institutions, and media representatives, emphasising the strength of India-US strategic ties and the need for greater international cooperation to address the evolving threat of terrorism.
The outreach forms part of India’s broader efforts to engage global stakeholders and advocate for stronger international frameworks to counter terrorism, cut off support systems, and ensure accountability worldwide.
