Nuage Seating Collection for Latest Generation of Bombardier Global Aircraft Wins Top Design Award

original

Bombardier is proud to announce that its innovative Nuage seating collection, found aboard the newest members of its large-cabin Global family of aircraft, has been honoured at the ninth annual International Yacht & Aviation Awards. The show-stopping seating collection, featuring the Nuage seat and Nuage chaise, took the trophy in the Seating Design category during a ceremony held in Venice, Italy, on May 24, 2019. The International Yacht & Aviation Awards recognize innovative and inspirational aviation and yachting designs from across the globe.

“Our mission in designing the Nuage collection was to offer unprecedented comfort while delivering the most desirable aesthetic and functional features of luxury seating,” said Peter Likoray, Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Marketing, Bombardier Business Aircraft. “Our industry-leading Global aircraft offer unrivalled performance and superior comfort all while providing Bombardier’s signature smooth ride. We couldn’t be more pleased to have our cabin experience recognized and affirmed on the world stage.”

Winner of the top award in the Seating Design category, Bombardier’s exclusive Nuage collection represents the pinnacle of innovation, craftsmanship and ergonomic perfection. In creating the Nuage seat and Nuage chaise, Bombardier designers reexamined every aspect of seated comfort in flight. The Nuage collection brings the sophisticated aesthetics and functional features of some of the world’s most comfortable furniture right into the cabin, offering passengers the most enjoyable, productive and smoothest flight ever.

Nuage Seat

Within the fluid lines of its finely crafted exterior, the Nuage seat is a marvel of furniture engineering, providing a perfect blend of comfort and control. At the heart of its revolutionary design is a patented tilt-link system with an all-new deep-recline position designed to maximize support and relaxation over long-distance flights. The seat’s precision-engineered floating base features the first-ever fully trackless footprint and permanently centered swivel axis for effortless and intuitive positioning. A unique adjustable and tilting headrest provides optimal neck support in any position. The Nuage seat is featured aboard Global 5500, Global 6500 and Global 7500 aircraft.

Nuage Chaise

The Nuage chaise is a first in business aviation; its modular architecture merges utility, comfort and style. Inspired by a chaise longue, its minimalist style lends to the cabin’s open feeling, while its varied functionality gives this space unprecedented versatility. A revolutionary four-in-one design, the Nuage chaise can be used for meetings, dining, lounging and sleeping, effectively broadening the utility of the whole cabin. The Nuage chaise is featured aboard Global 5500 and Global 6500 aircraft.
