Maharashtra Directorate launches AIVSC-2025 Team with Full Throttle Preparations
Nagpur, September 16, 2025. The Maharashtra Directorate contingent has been gearing up with intensive preparations for the All India Vayu Sainik Camp (AIVSC) – 2025, scheduled to be held from September 18th to 29th, 2025 at Air Force Station, Jalahalli, Bengaluru. Recognized as one of the premier events of the Air Wing of the National Cadet Corps (NCC), AIVSC brings together the best cadets from 17 Directorates to showcase their flying skills, discipline, leadership, and teamwork under the most rigorous training standards.
The journey of Maharashtra’s contingent has been marked by a structured and progressive training process. Cadets underwent the Inter Group Competition (IGC), which served as the first selection stage, followed by Pre-Vayu Sainik Camp–1 (PVSC-1) and Pre-Vayu Sainik Camp–2 (PVSC-2), before finally stepping into the grand platform of AIVSC. Each stage ensured not just learning, but mastery of skills, testing resilience and perfection at every step.
The backbone of Maharashtra’s preparation has been the training ground at Head Quarter Maintenance Command (HQMC), Nagpur, where meticulously planned sessions were conducted. The contingent’s journey has been shaped by the relentless efforts of the Permanent Instructor (PI) staff, who worked tirelessly to sharpen the cadets with continuous training and dedication. Supporting this, Commanding Officer Wing Commander V. Deepika Rao has been putting in unwavering efforts to guide and mentor the cadets. Overseeing the entire process with expertise and leadership, Group Captain Khushal Vyas, Group Commander, Nagpur Group, ensured discipline, precision, and consistency throughout the training. The Directorate has extended full backing to make this preparation comprehensive and result-oriented.
Cadets received advanced training across diverse domains. Firing practice with .22 rifles and skeet shooting sharpened accuracy and endurance, while powered flying, gliding, and simulator sessions prepared cadets for the prestigious Best Pilot Competition. Aeromodelling and drone operations fostered innovation and technical expertise in aviation technology. Alongside, drill and tent pitching were perfected with unmatched synchronization, while classroom sessions enhanced theoretical knowledge of aircraft systems, aviation principles, and air regulations.
The Maharashtra Directorate, carrying its rich legacy of discipline and excellence, now moves ahead with cadets who embody resilience, precision, and the true NCC spirit. Officers have been highlighted that AIVSC is more than a competition — it is a celebration of unity, courage, and the boundless energy of youth. With preparations marked by accuracy, endurance, and perfection, the Maharashtra team stands ready to make a resounding impact at AIVSC 2025. The contingent will depart for Bengaluru on September 17th, 2025 to participate in the camp.
As the team takes flight toward AIVSC 2025, their discipline, teamwork, and passion for excellence will carry Maharashtra’s banner to new heights—best wishes for a stellar performance to the team from MAHARASHTRA DTE.
