Wings India 2026 to showcase India’s rapid aviation rise at Asia’s largest civil aviation event
New Delhi, January 25. India’s fast-expanding civil aviation sector will be in the global spotlight at Wings India 2026, Asia’s largest civil aviation exhibition and conference, scheduled to be held from January 28 to 31, 2026, at Begumpet Airport in Hyderabad.
The four-day mega event will be formally inaugurated by Union Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu Kinjarapu in the presence of senior dignitaries from India and abroad. The launch will signal the start of a major international aviation gathering aimed at highlighting India’s emergence as a key global hub for air connectivity, manufacturing, services, innovation and sustainability.
Centred on the theme ‘Indian Aviation: Paving the Future – From Design to Deployment, Manufacturing to Maintenance, Inclusivity to Innovation and Safety to Sustainability’, Wings India 2026 will trace the evolution of India’s aviation ecosystem into a major driver of economic growth, regional development and global integration.
Over the past decade, India’s civil aviation sector has recorded unprecedented growth. Passenger traffic has multiplied, placing the country among the world’s leading aviation markets. Indian airlines have inducted hundreds of new aircraft, with record orders positioning India as one of the largest future aircraft markets globally. Airport infrastructure has also expanded rapidly through new greenfield airports, modernised terminals and improved regional connectivity under schemes such as UDAN.
At the same time, India is strengthening its position as a hub for maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), pilot training, aerospace manufacturing, cargo logistics and advanced air mobility, while stepping up efforts in sustainable aviation through initiatives such as Sustainable Aviation Fuel, green airports and digital air navigation systems.
Wings India 2026 will bring together policymakers, global CEOs, investors, airlines, airports, aircraft manufacturers, lessors, MROs, technology providers, training institutions and startups, making it one of the most comprehensive aviation platforms in the world. The event will feature a world-class international exhibition, static aircraft displays, aerobatic flying shows, a high-level global aviation conference, ministerial plenary sessions, a Global CEOs Forum, CEO roundtables, B2B and B2G meetings, an aviation job fair, a student innovation competition, an awards ceremony and cultural programmes.
Strong international participation is expected, with ministerial-level and official delegations from 20 countries, including the US, UK, France, Germany, Russia, Singapore, Qatar and members of the European Union. Several Indian states will also be represented by ministers and senior officials.
Leading global and domestic aviation players such as Airbus, Boeing, Embraer, HAL, Dassault, ATR, RTX, Rolls-Royce, GMR, Adani, Air India, IndiGo, Akasa Air, Etihad Airways and Thai Airways have confirmed participation, underlining India’s growing strategic importance in the global aviation landscape.
A key attraction of the event will be the static and flying display of more than 30 aircraft, along with aerobatic performances by the Indian Air Force’s Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team and the Mark Jefferies Aerobatic Team.
The international conference will feature 13 thematic sessions, along with a ministerial plenary and CEOs forum, covering areas such as airport infrastructure, airlines and leasing, helicopters and business aviation, MRO and component manufacturing, air cargo, sustainable aviation fuel, advanced air mobility, drones, pilot training, skilling and women in aviation.
Wings India 2026 will also focus on talent and innovation, with an aviation job fair connecting industry leaders with skilled youth and a student innovation competition aimed at nurturing future aviation professionals. Major announcements, memoranda of understanding and strategic partnerships are expected during the event.
